Hampstead Spot FestivalHampstead Spot Festival

This year sees the 48th Hampstead Spot Festival takes place as an opportunity for everyone to enjoy a little Spot, one of the Carolina’s tastiest fish. The Festival will be held this weekend, September 24th – 25th, 2011.

When the Hampstead Spot Festival first began 48 years ago, it was originally designed to raise money for and benefit the local Fire Department. This tradition continues today, although some of the proceeds are now divided up between the local Topsails schools as well, but everyone is invited to enjoy a dinner featuring this local delicacy.
