This should be a lot of fun.
Classy Chassis Car Show
Who doesn’t love a car show? For car enthusiasts, the Classy Chassis Car Show is considered to be one of the best in the south-eastern United States. This year it will be held Saturday July 9, 2011 from 9am-4pm at the historic Grove Plantation outside of Wilmington, North Carolina. What better way to spend the day than to enjoy the smooth lines of your favorite classic cars while taking in the backdrop of a beautiful historic plantation?
The show and competition is open to all. The show will display vintage cars and trucks that are from the year 1985 and older. Owners can register their cars for twenty dollars until June 30, 2011. The registration cost after this date will increase to twenty five dollars.
If you have a car that does not fit into the category of being twenty five years or older, you can still pay the registration fee and put your car on display for everyone to see. However, it will not be a part of the official competition.
Judging and Awards
Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. for all cars and trucks that qualify. So don’t be late or you will miss out. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first owners who register their cars and trucks, so it does pay to be one of the first registrants. Wall plaques will be awarded to the best 50 entries. In addition, Specialty Winner’s Plaques will be awarded via the 50/50 drawings.
All Around Fun
In addition to the car show, there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy such as the flea market. Once the car competition is over, you can stroll the plantation and eat plenty of country fare such as barbecue, ice cream and funnel cakes. Skip from flea market booth to flea market booth and browse through the local country crafts and homemade goodies.
Take your time and take in everything that the show and market have to offer. The Classy Chassis Car Show will be a wonderful way to spend the day eating, listening to great music and looking at classic cars.
