Wonderful family week at the beach with comfortable accomodation
Space and ammenities were great! Loved having 3 king beds, but 2 of the king mattresses were not very comfortable, but the other was very good. Did have a small problem with roaches. Not a full infestation indoors, only saw a few, but there were quite a few outside in the parking area.- A Flipkey Verified Reviewer , Posted: 05/06/2021Note: This review was imported when our site was created and is older than 5/6/2021. Wonderful Home away from Home!
Wow, this 5 bedroom 3 story condo is absolutely amazing. This was the first time we stayed in this condo and will stay again in the future. The rental was very clean and had all of the amenities that you could ask for. We loved having a ice maker and wine cooler while being on vacation. Right on the beach and with having a pool to use as well, it had the best of both worlds. Overall such a great place for our family to stay:)- Alison , Posted: 05/06/2021Note: This review was imported when our site was created and is older than 5/6/2021. Help us with a new review!
A great place to unwind! Loved the decks overlooking the ocean.
Located at the northern end of Topsail Island, the beach is quiet and uncrowded. The elevator entrance made it possible for a handicapped member of our family to maneuver. The location of the bedrooms allowed for comfortable privacy for three family units.- 21St Century Marge , Posted: 05/06/2021
Great oceanfront duplex
Everything about renting this house was great! The service via email and phone was very friendly and prompt. The house was great...right on the beach, beautifully decorated, with gorgeous views of the beach! We really loved our stay.- Mark , Posted: 05/06/2021
Our family had a wonderful time and the Villa was very nice. We really enjoyed the deck on the main floor and spent most of the time there or on the beach. Hot tub did not work and they sent someone out to fix it right away. Needed parts so it wasn't ready till the day before we left. They refunded our payment for the activation, no problem. Kids also spent a lot of time at the community pool. Went to the Turtle Hospital. The kids enjoyed this. Will be much nicer when they move to new location.
We also took a trip to Wilmington and toured the Battleship North Carolina.(another kid favorite) Our favorite restaurant was Daddy Mac's Beach Grille in Surf City. Good food and great location.
Would definitely stay at Topsail Island and rent thru Treasure Realty again. Beautiful weather, friendly people and a great relaxing vacation.- Missvic , Posted: 05/06/2021
Perfect for our family
This was year 15 for our large family vacation on a N. Carolina beach. This was year 2 for renting both sides of this duplex. It is perfect for us. We have booked again for next year. The ice maker and small bar refrigerator are such a bonus. In the past, we had coolers sitting around for drinks and someone would have to go daily to buy ice. The other real bonus is the elevator. With 4 of us being in our 70's, the thought of dragging groceries & luggage up and down the stairs is daunting. The kitchen is perfect. One family takes a night to feed everyone, so we each only have one night to cook. Using both sides we can easily feed 21 people. We all enjoy that so much.
The men enjoy a day of golfing and the women have a spa day outing. The teenagers enjoy the park with the basketball and volleyball courts and shopping. The rest of the kids enjoy the ocean. The pool is a real bonus for the littlest ones. Most of the time we enjoy just sitting on the beach either in the sun or under the cabana. It is very relaxing and a fun time that we look forward to each year. We are hoping to be able to rent here for many years to come.- Kay B , Posted: 05/06/2021
Perfect villa for our family vacation
We came to Topsail for a beach wedding which was actually held in front of one of the villas. We had several friends staying in the others as well. This was definitely the best that we saw. The kitchen was amazing- fully equipped (except for sharp knives). The wine fridge and ice maker were a big bonus. The morning after the wedding, we threw a brunch for the wedding guests. I only wish I had known how well equipped the kitchen was before I hauled half of my kitchen halfway across the country. :)
The bedrooms were good sized with very comfortable beds. The master suite did not have a whirlpool tub but the room was fabulous. The bathroom itself was nice. Between the beach, the hot tub on the deck and the community pool, everyone had plenty of time in the water. I was also very pleasantly surprised by the renter's closet. It was full of sand toys and chairs. There was also a high chair and a pack n'play in the house but thankfully, our grandkids didn't need them.
I worried that, because it is a duplex, we would hear our neighbors. It turned out that they were also wedding guests and stayed up late every night. Never heard a peep!
I loved that each level had its own deck with incredible views of the pier. This house was simply perfect for our family of 10.- Edhodge , Posted: 05/06/2021
Heaven on Earth
My husband and I stayed for a week in late May. It is an amazing house and an incredibly restorative place to be. We arrived, feeling ground down by life's stresses of our jobs in NY, and unwound when we opened the door to this lovely home.
There is what is clearly all new furniture and pillows in the living room--comfortable seating for many more than the two of us. I loved the books in the bookcases. There were volumes of local interest and great summer reads others had left behind.
My husband is a serious amateur chef, and the kitchen is so well appointed with the top brands of pots, pans, and appliances, including the separate bar with its ice maker, that we were stunned. All pots and utensils were of top quality. We loved the nautical theme throughout the house, and loved the navy and white dishes and the coffee mugs that were generously large enough for a real cafe au lait!
We slept in the beige and yellow bedroom on the second floor which has its bathroom en suite. There are so many rooms to choose from. The pink and green room was also appealing--it was a tough choice. We didn't run the air conditioner at all, and were cooled be sea breezes day and night. We slept with the deck door and the window open, and were lulled by the sound of the waves.
I loved the outdoor shower and, as one who easily burns but adores the beach, I loved that I could sit on the deck and be in the shade while seeing both the beach and the ocean. This was a huge plus for me! We ate all our meals outside, reveling in the view and the changing light.
The beach was never crowded, and my husband got a fishing license and caught dinner for us for three nights--sea trout, pompano, and black drum. We also went to the fish pier in Surf City and bought fish, as well as to the shrimp pier in Sneed's Landing/Sneed's Ferry.
Food Lion and CVS were a ten minute drive away, and once we got groceries, we never left the house. The fishing license man gave us the names of great local restaurants, but we didn't want to leave the peace of the house and the ocean views.
The internet access was great, as was the cable tv, but walks along the beach were much more interesting than entertainment. The Fishing Pier is within minutes of the house, and they sell tackle, bait and dinners.
We will definitely return. If you'd like to see pictures of our vacation, google my husband's name, Richard Traub, and go to his flickr site. We will definitely return to Villas 860!- Thea156 , Posted: 05/06/2021
