Cape Island is a beautiful premier residential community in North Topsail Beach, NC. If you're interested in living in the lap of luxury or owning an investment property that can generate rental income from eager tourists, Cape Island is the ideal location. There are some existing grand homes in the community, most of which are used as vacation rentals, and there are also lots available for development.
Topsail Island was the hiding spot for pirates many years ago; today, it is the hiding spot for folks trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As its name suggests, North Topsail Beach is located on the northern end of Topsail Island. Scattered throughout Topsail Island are exclusive communities like Cape Island.
North Topsail Beach is conveniently located between Jacksonville and Wilmington, North Carolina. Local home owners here can enjoy the quiet nature of secluded beach life while still being close enough to the bigger cities for mall shopping, dining at their favorite chain restaurants, and all the other creature comforts of life not readily available in smaller communities.
One of the main reasons buyers choose Cape Island is for the amenities. The community has a private beach access, a pier and gazebo built exclusively for community members, a club house, gorgeous professional landscaping, and a beautiful swimming pool.
The south is known for its warm summer temperatures and mild winters, and Cape Island is no different. The area is warm enough for beach swimming about 6 months out of the year. With four distinct seasons, beach access, warm waters, premier golf, and great fishing, why would anyone want to live anywhere else? Cape Island boasts more than 200 days of sunshine every year and fewer than 70 inches of rain. Want snow? Every few years, Cape Island gets measurable snowfall, but feel free to leave behind your snow shovels because you probably won't need them here.
There are no restaurants in the exclusive Cape Island community, but there are certainly plenty of restaurants nearby on the island and in Sneads Ferry.
Inlet 790 Bar and Grille, located almost directly across the street at the Villa Capriani, serves delicious surf and turf cuisine that is sure to please young and old alike. Come for lunch or dinner and enjoy indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Up for a more causal dining experience? Head into Sneads Ferry, where you'll find all sorts of local offerings. You might try Rick's Restaurant and Sports Bar, EM R Wings, or the historic Riverview Cafe. Don't forget the plethora of choices on the south end in Surf City or Topsail Beach proper.
While there is plenty of water around Cape Island, the waters off the fishing piers are what matter most to avid fishermen. There is a community pier at Cape Island, and there is also the Sea View Fishing Pier, located less than 1 mile north of the community. The pier is family friendly, so no alcohol or pets are allowed. The pier reaches more than 1,000 feet into the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. As an added pleasure, you can also grab a bite to eat at the pier restaurant, which claims to have the best hot dogs around.
